My horses saddle doesnt fit her too well and I dont wanna have to pay that few 100 dollars just to fit my saddle to my horse again. Also the girth is crooked and doesnt fit too well either. Is there a better way to fit my girth / saddle? Its a hunter/ jumper saddle that I use for training and schooling shows and just for english pleasure.
Hi, Since I can’t see how the saddle fits, there is not much I can do to see what the problem is. However, if the girth is crooked, there is an easy solution to that problem. You simply need a new one that will fit better. I am posting a link that shows different girths, but if you have a saddlery store in your town, you can probably buy one there. But if your girth is crooked, there is not much you can do to fix that problem other then to buy a new one. Good luck and here is the link for you.

Im going to be free leasing a pony that’s a spotted saddle horse as a project and Im looking to do hunters and dressage so I need to know if they are gaited? Thanks!
no no youve got me all worng lol I DONT want a gaited horse lol so i needed to know before I went through with this.
Do they all have to be taught to trot and canter?
A spotted saddle horse is a gaited horse with spots. That said, it can be ANY gaited breeding.
So a saddlebred who is 5 gaited and has spots qualifies (I think). So do Missouri Fox Trotters, who actually trot– it’s just usually a broken 4 beat trot until you move them forward faster.
More important is to know how your pony is bred, so that you know what gait it will do.
