I got hurt yesterday at my horse riding lesson. What happened was I was getting the horse to change it’s gait from a walk to a trot and she got to close to the rail and caused my leg to get caught on the bar to the stall door. ( this is an indoor arena) Which hurt like hell. my knee hit the bar so hard that it knocked my foot out of the stirrup and knocked me sideways on the saddle. This happened so quickly, I didn’t have time to find a solution to aviod my leg hitting the bar. I have a huge bruise now, and it’s pretty painful. I was searching online for knee pads that are suitable for schooling and I couldn’t find any. If somebody could help me out with this I would appreciate it. And please if you have something negative to say, then just don’t reply at all, I’m not looking for riding tips, thats what my instructor is for…thank you.

they don’t make knee pads specifically for horseback because, as a general rule, your knees don’t touch anything when you’re riding
you could certainly use knee pads designed for some other sport if you’re worried about a repeat injury. Just make sure your instructor thinks it will work and that you can wear them comfortably while riding.
Don’t spend a ton of money
just get some cheap ones at walmart, they’ll do the job just fine :)

I was wondering what you use in show and what you use for like practice when it comes to western pads.

When it comes to practice I have just a basic wool saddle pad I use. when I’m in the show ring I use a Thin wool blanket to cover it they come in an assortment of colors so it is easy to find one that works.

Example:

This is just an example you can find many other colors and designs

Good Luck

I got my period today, but I was planning a long ride with my friends tomorrow and really don’t want to miss it, so what do you prefer?
(Sorry about all the questions i’m asking today)

tampons with a panty liner. i HATE pads. i feel like i’m sitting in my own nast..because i am LOL. It’s like a diaper for periods. It’s bulky and dirty.

If you can’t already tell, i’m really anti-pads lol.

Pros and cons of each?

Tampons would make this sport much more comfortable when you are menstruating.
