I have an old horse bridle, it is old and needs to be fixed up a bit, someone told me oil was good to soak them in? Help please.

soaking in oil will rot the stitching. try applying several coats of leather product (leather CPR works great!) then letting the bridle set overnight, and re-apply again the next day. if you cant find leather cpr try leather new, or plain neatsfoot oil

My horse takes an oversize english bridle and my trainer and I don’t think a full size western one will fit him because we tried one. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get an oversize western bridle that is good quality I do NOT want something cheap. If you know of any places online and it has to have the option of bridle sizes. Or a place in colorado that has oversize bridles.
Gallop my horse is not a draft horse. He’s a thoroughbred x holsteiner. A draft horse bridle would be too big I know that much.

Any of these what you want???

Add……These are also fitted for draft crosses, and come in a variety of measurements. Some are not that much bigger than a regular full horse size measurements.

The most popular on the A circuit for hunter/jumpers are from Edgewood. For Dressage I would say Passier from Germany. For more everyday riding Stubben also from Germany is great long lasting tack.

A horse barn design is much like a house design. You want your horses to have a nice comfortable place to live. Distributed by Tubemogul.

I made an insanely stupid mistake today and left my horse alone with his tack on. Although the reins were over his neck, i guess he somehow got them off and stepped on them and they broke! Luckily, he was not hurt at all. And the reins (which was the part that actually snapped) belonged to my trainer, so i need to pay her back plus get my bridle fixed and/or get a new one. I really have no idea what price range this will be in, can someone give me a general idea?

Why don’t you make one yourself? They are very easy to make, Find a Tandy Leather near you they have courses that are free and will even let you use their stamps in their shop and if they have time a sales person will sit with you and walk you threw it. A good halter leather parts will cost you about $6 and if you want to start making your own at home stamps start at $1 each and is very fun to do.
