I’m need a new saddle because my youngest mare is growing and she is VERY wide (My current saddle is semi qh, she needs full). I’ve found a nice training saddle for $375 and I want to buy it but I’ve never bought anything from eBay. My brother has an account so I’ll be buying it from his. Has anyone ever purchased from it?

Here is the training saddle:

Here is a show saddle I found also:

I do all the time.. buying and selling. It’s pretty safe, your protected in the sale. Just look at the sellers rating.. you can read all the info on seller and you’ll do just fine.

Hmm The first training saddle at only 30 pounds and is a copy, so it will not be too well made, you can see the leather is curled. The second, I think you could find better, with a name brand like Circle Y or Billy Cook .

Just my opinions. If you don’t like it, you have to pay shipping twice. I think you would be better off with a nice used saddle with a name brand.

Are Bates saddles nice enough for the A to C circuit? Are they as nice as the Pessoas? And are they comfortable? This is the particular model I am looking at:
http://www.equestrian-tack.com/batcapclosco.html

Is that a good saddle for the A to C circuit pony hunters? Ok, thank you for all replies!! :D

Bates are excellent saddles. They are acceptable anywhere.Yes, even in the A curcuit. Bates is a very high quality saddle. I have a bates close contact saddle. they are comfy, and i feel very secure while riding and showing in it.

I am gonna be a college freshman this year and I wanna know if it’s like high school. The excessive amount of unnecessary drama…

And also, how easy will it be to get my things taken?
I’m a double major. I’m studying Equestrian Studies so I have a tack locker with $1000s in it worth of stuff. Then my room, and some instruments I have and books for Pre-vet. Do people steal quite a bit?

College is nothing like high school! a lot of people keep to themselves so there’s not a whole lot of drama it depends on your roommate

as long as you keep your door locked when you leaveyou’lll be fine =]

Can anyone tell me the good and the bad about this saddle? How long does it normally last? Is it durable?

http://www.equestrian-tack.com/abettacordura.html

If you don’t like it, what should I get? I’m looking for a round-skirt wide western saddle for under $400.

For that amount of money you can buy a nice used leather saddle by a better manufacturer from ebay.

E-mail me and I may be able to help you out in this matter.
